Qtum has officially released their main network – a new hybrid blockchain application platform integrating the Ethereum virtual machine (EVM) and the BitcoinCore infrastructure.
Qtum is expected to be used in the mobile device, IoT, and social network fields and aims to maintain compatibility with major blockchain ecosystems by combining supply chain management and PoS consensus protocol.
Qtum has amassed a staggering 15.6M USD worth of financing through their MArch 2017 ICO.
On October 5, 2017, Qtum announced a partnership with Matchpool, a matchmaking application. They will develop new social networking and matchmaking DApps for the platform. Mtchpool now has access to Qtum’s new network and all of the technological advancements tehrein.
