Lykke, a Switzerland-based blockchain business company, made a partnership with Switzerland-based media group Tamedia for the growth and development in Lykke’s marketplace, according to the announcements.
Tamedia also made an investment to Lykke, and plans further investments in future.
The public listed Tamedia, established in 1893, is known for its digital platforms, newspapers, and magazines. The company has about 3,400 employees in Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, Luxembourg and Serbia.
Lykke CEO Richard Olsen was cited as saying that Tamedia has successfully held its ground throughout the digital transformation, and the collaboration will move Lykke’s business forward successfully.
Temedia’s Board Member and Head of Technology&Ventures Samuel Hügli was also cited as saying that the partnership could lead to the development of innovative offerings for Temedia’s customers such as new payment services.
Lykke has over 90,000 registered accounts, with a total trading volume of over USD 1.5bn via the marketplace.
