Quanta, the Isle of Man-based regulated lottery project operator, joined as a sponsor for Malaysia’s APLA Regional Conference 2018.
APLA Chairman Dato’ Lawrence Lim Swee Lin opened the conference by elaborating on the recent trend in the lottery industry that compliance and combating illegal activities are becoming more important.
The conference has a packed agenda of keynote speeches and industry discussions.
Quanta CTO Kostas Farris joined in the panel discussion titled as “Which technology is being embraced and has long term impact to the industry? Cloud, UX, Blockchain.” along with other panellists such as Scientific Games Regional Sales Director Katrina Bonnet and Intralot Australia CEO Marios Mitromaras.
Kostas shared his insights and opinions on the topic with the audience, together with his views on the significant benefits of blockchain technology to the operators, the players, and the regulators.
At the dinner, Quanta CTO Kostas Farris received a framed plaque from the APLA.
